Raising Awareness Around Leandro

Legislators in NC have blatantly violated the North Carolina State Constitution and the US Constitution by refusing to fund low-wealth school districts as the court have mandated. North Carolina children have been denied their Constitutional Right to a sound basic education and this disproportionately effects children of color, English language learners, and Children with Disabilities. Communities of Color are uneducated and unaware of Leandro; therefore, Communities of Color have no voice. The goal of Mary Magdalene Ministries is to educate and motivate vulnerable and marginalized communities about the impact on their children’s education by not fully funding Leandro. Our long-term objective is to engage Communities of Color in advocacy campaigns to North Carolina Legislators to observe the court mandate. “Obey the law”.
